Betty Huskins Reappointed to U.S. Fish & Wildlife Commission

Betty Huskins was recently reappointed by the Obama Administration to the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Commission to another 4-year term on the National Sport Fishing & Boating Council. She was recommended for reappointment by Ken Salazar, U.S. Secretary of the Interior. She has served two previous terms.

Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians Retains Ridgetop Associates Services

The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians have retained the services of Ridgetop into the fall of 2013 to assist them with a redevelopment of its economic development and tourism programs. Under the agreement, the Ridgetop team will serve as the interim Destination Marketing Organization Director and assist with the Tribe's reorganization of its economic development initiatives into a tribal Department of Commerce.
North Carolina Tourism Industry Welcomes Award Recipients into Winner's Circle
Six distinguished North Carolinians were honored today at the North Carolina Governor’s Conference on Hospitality & Tourism for their significant and continuing contributions to the growth and success of North Carolina's tourism industry. The 2009 Winner’s Circle Awards were presented to Dr. Larry Gustke, John and Faye Cooper, Reyn Bowman, and Betty and David Huskins.
